An anonymous message to the administrator of the building
Dearest Mr. Administrator
Given that the cold is starting to make itself felt wouldn’t it be time to turn on the heating?
Or do you want to wait for the snow to fall?
On the backside is the response from the “amministratore” who – needless to say – was not amused. He states among other things that he turned on the heating on the 16.10.09 [the letter was apparently written two days later] according to the “disposizioni communali” and that “l’ironia – consentitemi di basso livello – non è stata gradita dallo scrivente, e quindi mi riservo iniziative a tutela della propria dignità professionale”.
Now, I don’t know who should decide when the heating is turned on. It’s just funny that this is the way they seem to resolve – or rather perpetuate – these kinds of conflicts here.
And I think sounds rather stupid to use the third and the third person to refer to oneself in the same phrase. Shouldn’t clear thinking lead to plain language?
Btw there’s a good chance that the anonymous writer is under the age of 30. It looks as if he/she started to write “ke” instead of “che”, which is common among people writing a lot of txt msgs or status updates on Facebook or wateva.
