What is this blog about?

L’ Uffizio is a blog about my exchange year in Florence. The goal of my exchange year is to study physics, learn Italian and generally be excessively happy.

This blog is for those who for some reason are interested in what I do. From time to time, I’ll try to write something about Florence and Tuscany, so people interested in reading about that may enjoy this blog too. Although I’m very interested in physics, it is unclear how much I’ll write about it.

Where does the name come from?

The Galleria degli Uffizi is one of the most famous museums of the world. “Ufficio” (with c), with the plural “uffici”, means office. I have yet to find out where the z comes from, but by using the term “uffizi”, one is generally referring to the museum, while “uffizio” is universally agreed to refer to this blog.
