Weekend in Pistoia and Fiésole

The dome of Pistoia, or Cattedrale di San Zeno, one of the oldest churches in Tuscany. Some parts were built in the 5th and 6th century. In its long history, the building was damaged by at least two fires and one earthquake.
Florence in the sunset as seen from a hill in Fiésole. Bus 7 goes directly from Santa Maria Novella train station to Fiésole, where one can see one of the best views of Florence. Another great view is from Piazzale Michelangelo, which is on the left hand side in the image where the white lights are.
